Only one more to go!!! I can't even believe it.

Today was a horrible day at work. I am so emotionally exhausted from working as a restaurant manager. I'm the only female manager, and I definitely feel the pressures of being the young woman on the management staff. I feel really unfulfilled and disrespected at my job, and I'm just really sick of it. I want a job where I am guaranteed 40 hours per week, where I'm respected and trusted, and where I feel like I'm actually doing something of worth on this earth. I've applied to a few different places around town & am currently waiting to hear back on a particular prospective position. Seriously, someone hire me despite my age, please. I am a very capable 22-year-old. And I want to work hard and do work that matters.

On a happier note, I got the night off to hang out with my husband, paint a lamp, and make us a really tasty dinner. My favorite new recipe is this one for cheddar garlic biscuits!! Seriously. So easy to make, bake quickly, and absolutely delicious. Love love love.

Today has been so wonderful. Nathan & I worked out this morning, then made lunch, and then I dropped him off at the bus stop for him to go to Vandy & work at the library. =) Then I went to Target and printed out our wedding photos!!!!!

Later in the day I helped Steph paint her room in her new apartment which just happens to be in the same complex that Nathan & I live in! Yay! Neighbors!

After we painted, I made us all a tasty dinner. Jenny brought salad, Sarah D brought bread & pie, and the Creasy sisters brought their sexy selves. We had lots of fun!

And we ate a BUNCH:

Today has been such a great day. Nathan & I both had the day off work and we had a day-long date! First we went on a long hike at Radnor Lake, then we ran some errands, swam/read at the pool, and now we're watching a movie together.

In other news, we got our wedding photos in the mail today. I'll be posting some up here soon. =) And, luckily, we also got a target giftcard in the mail, which means we can actually afford to print off & frame our wedding photos! YAY!

Our apartment is so close to being ready for a housewarming party. We're going to send out invitations soon. I love our happy little home.

And, just for fun:

If walls could talk...

Today was an exciting day of being apartment fixer-uppers. We put together our Ikea purchases, so we finally have nightstands and have utilized our awesome blue wall!!! Photos ahead:

I really, really love our new additions. Nathan did so much while I was at work tonight... he got all sorts of odds & ends and put all the decorations up on the shelves. I honestly could never have arranged it to look that great, so I'm glad I married someone with a strong sense of design.

And the cats have been thoroughly interested in the whole process...

Sorry for the bad lighting for this one. I got off work early today (at 8pm!!!) so I came home to my husband and lovely apartment, and threw on this cozy outfit. I don't really think horizontal stripes are great on me, but this top is just too wonderful to not wear.

Check out the background... I'm about to make a post about that wall! =)

After church, I decided to change into something a little more comfortable than the strapless dress/button-up combo, so I put on this super comfy skirt and stuck a cami on under my shirt (some versatility in case I got warm in the car). I actually wore this outfit a week or so ago, but when I got home I was so hot & angry (this was one of the 100+ degree days) that I stripped off my entire outfit down to my skivvies when I got home. Thus, I never even had a chance to take a picture of it. So, here you have it!

Today on our ride home, we stopped by Ikea to get some last odds & ends for our apartment. I thought I would be in heaven at Ikea, but it was the opposite. The whole time we were there I thought I was going to either have an asthma attack or vomit everywhere. I made Nathan hold my hand the whole time. I hated it. But, we ended up with some awesome nightstands:

And now we're back at home in Nashville. Ahhhh.

Today is our last full day in Findlay. We started the day out by playing a fun game called Munchkin with Nathan's youngest brother Isaac. He won, of course. Then we headed to an estate sale auction, which was overwhelming. Now we're at home relaxing before our cook-out! I'm sad we're leaving tomorrow, but it's been a really great trip.

During our photoshoot today, Nathan thought he'd get "artistic".... And this is what he ended up with:
